AKC Papers

1-year Health Guarantee
If your puppy that you purchased from Mountain Springs Kennel has a proven genetic disorder* within one year from the date of pickup, we will either refund your money or replace the puppy (*specifics are listed in the buyer's contract when they purchase puppy See Below for a copy of the contract).
Spay/Neuter Requirement
We ask that you please wait to spay or neuter your dog until after they are at least 8 months old. This is for health reasons. More and more research is being done that shows that spaying and neutering dogs too early can cause many future health issues. For females we recommend spaying at 8 months and for males we recommend that you wait till at least 9 months if not a year old.
Please be Prepared
Bringing a puppy into your life is very much like having a baby. They are wonderful, delightful, full of fun, and always full of love, hugs and kisses. It is going to be a incredible event in your life when you decide to get a puppy. The rewards are endless and they will steal your heart away with one look.
But. . .
They will need lots of care and planning. They will give you sleepless nights. You will have to train and clean up after them. They will require high quality nutritional food. They will require Veterinary exams and vaccines. They may even need babysitting for when you are at work or gone on vacation. They require time, money and lots of love and care. They are not just a one time purchase price expense. Please be prepared to be able to take the best care of your new dog as possible.

Purchase Price: _____________________________________(Non-Refundable).
The BUYER is aware of, understands and agrees to the following:
Vaccination & Veterinarian Physicals: The PUPPY has received its first set of shots been de-wormed and has been examined by a veterinarian. The BUYER is from this day of ________________ forward is completely responsible for all finances for veterinary and healthcare of the PUPPY.
Common Health Issues in the Breed: All dogs have the potential for congenital diseases. The BUYER understands that some very common congenital issues in the Golden Retriever breed are : Hip and Elbow Dysplasia, Cancer, and Skin Issues and Allergies.
The SELLER gives a 1 year health guarantee for the following: If the puppy is tested for Hip Dysplasia and comes back with the results of less than mild then the BUYER will be refunded the Purchase Price. If the puppy is tested for Elbow Dysplasia and comes back with results of less than normal, the BUYER will be refunded the Purchase Price. If the puppy has a genetic disorder that is life threatening the BUYER is refunded the Purchase Price. In order to receive a refund for the above conditions, the BUYER must provide documentation from a licensed veterinarian, and may be required to have a second exam done by a veterinarian that is approved by the SELLER and will be paid for by BUYER. Should there be a need for refund, it is only a one time refund of the Purchase Price and the SELLER has six months from time of proved licensed veterinarian documentation to make the Purchase Price refund to the BUYER.
Contagious Illnesses: The puppy has been thoroughly examined by a veterinarian prior to the BUYER’s purchase. Because the PUPPY has not had all its shots, the PUPPY has a higher likelihood of getting illnesses/viruses such as kennel-cough and Parvo. Both of these illnesses can cause death in a young puppy. To avoid having your PUPPY exposed to these illnesses, DO NOT walk the PUPPY in any public areas or take the PUPPY to a location heavily populated with dogs until it has received all of its shots. The PUPPY does not have kennel-cough or Parvo at the time of purchase. However if the BUYER chooses to take the PUPPY to high risk locations, there is no guarantee that the PUPPY will not contract one of the illnesses described above. We are not held responsible and there is not refunded for the PUPPY if it contracts the above illnesses.
Feeding Practices: The PUPPY has been raised on Purina Pro Plan Puppy food. The PUPPY is eating at least three times a day and is allowed to eat as much as she/he wants.
Neuter/Spay Requirements: The SELLER recommends not to neuter a male dog until at least one year of age. The SELLER recommends not to spay a female until she is at least eight months of age. The SELLER also recommends not fixing the PUPPY before seven months of age so that his/her body can be allowed to develop naturally for as long as possible, thereby avoiding unnecessary health issues. The SELLER highly recommends fixing the PUPPY after age two years old.
BUYER Approval: The BUYER has seen our facilities and discussed with SELLER how our dogs and the PUPPY are raised and taken care of. The BUYER is satisfied with the SELLER'S facilities and practices and has freely chosen to purchase the PUPPY from SELLER.
Agreement Between Parties: All parties agree by signature, to follow the terms of this AGREEMENT. This PURCHASE AGREEMENT contains the entire agreement between the BUYER and SELLER and is not transferable. Any changes to this contract are binding through signature only. No verbal changes will be considered legally binding to the BUYER or SELLER. Each party to this AGREEMENT shall be responsible for their own legal fees and cost, in the event a dispute arises.
